Bredonborough A grey day Beneath

12.24

Bredonborough.

A grey day.

Beneath this floor the cellar is continuing its re-vibration process. It is already far beyond a dry storage zone and, so ace is its appearance, it has already been re-classified as a living area. T is imagining a giant plasma screen against one wall with us snuggling on a large sofa in front of it. We don't have a plasma screen, but that's a detail. She tells me that, now I am recording film music with Jeff Fayman, I need to watch movies on a giant plasma screen while sitting on a large sofa snuggling with her.

Dave lives in Bredonborough and is an ambient musician with home studio, where he records with a pal. Dave is a huge David Sylvian fan & the first builder who has ever stopped to ask me details of a life spent within the world of professional musism. In his day life, Dave is The Carpenter or chippy in building argot. Perhaps Dave once went to his Mother, told her I want to be a professional musician! and his Mother said nothing but burst into tears. If that were so, then Dave listened to his Mother.

Meanwhile, the sounds of Radio Two drift up from beneath the floor. Clearly, this is not the musical choice of Dave. I have no problems with drilling, hammering, the operation of a cement mixer. But Radio Two is a problem. This is noise, at whatever amplitude.

Data back-up underway. Backtracking --

Monday 26th. April: the builders are working well in the cellar. I am above it, gently catching up with stuff. In the evening, a huge downpour.
